Going to Taiwan...
« on: Wed, 09 February 2011, 01:30:04 »
Hey, everybody, I live in mainland China but will be going to Taipei here in a couple of weeks for meetings.  The question is:  is there anything (keyboard or otherwise gadget) that is especially good to buy there, and where do I get it?  I can buy a lot of stuff on Taobao here, but surely there's stuff made there that's cheaper/better selection, right?

I already have a Filco but would love to pick up a KBC or Noppoo Choc Mini.
I'm back.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well.  I know Ducky is from Taiwan but, other than some watercooling stuff made by Bitspower or components from Asus, Acer, etc. (which I don't need currently) there isn't much that comes to my mind.
I'm back.

Taiwan is the home of all the biggest and best motherboard, case and graphics card manufacturers. Also RAM - highly recommend grabbing PC gear if you're over there. Also try and get tours of Thermaltake's new HQ - it's awesome. See the bit-tech feature here: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2011/01/31/touring-thermaltake-s-very-red-new-hq/1

Hi, Nicole, thank you for your input.  Could you tell me what you mean by "that is not located inside the building, being in the roadway"?  I don't understand.

Thanks for your help!

Guang Hua is a main plaza for computer parts and random electronics.  But, around the perimeter of the building there are plenty of other computer shops.  Nicole must mean that there are a variety of keyboard shops located around the Guang Hua plaza.

Taiwan used to be the place to get ANSI layout Topres from, before EK started importing them.
