115 brown switches and a keyboard
« on: Fri, 11 February 2011, 05:47:03 »
I desoldered 115 brown switches from my NIB cherry G80-8200. Looking for $50+shipping. These switches have 4 metal pins and 2 plastic pins. If you want to know why I desoldered them, it is because I prefer black switches.

or

selling any amount of them for $0.44 each. (0 left)

The keyboard FS is a Datalux Muruc. It uses ML switches. Looking for $20+ shipping. The plastic pin under the ~ key is broken, but, I fixed it. It doesn't affect the key-feel.

There exist people who are interested in a NIB G80-8200 with brown switches.

So, why had it to die?

You are one of the few real men on this forum. Congratulations! Time to open a Black MX club soon. Three members now? Whoooo!

PS @ Moogle: $20 is entirely unrealistic. These go for over $100 new when ordering them directly. $50 is very fair.

Let's do it.

Also, OP...do you have the replacement black switches already? I have over 200 spare black switches that I just finished removing from a couple of donor boards. They are plate mounted switches so they won't work on you keyboard, but you could always open them up swap the "plunger" and "spring" on each switch.

Also, I would be willing to trade you the plungers and springs from you brown switches for the plungers and springs from 115 of my black switches.

Hey, I'd be interested in all 45 of them. Which country are you in? I ask because as I am in South Australia, the postage can be rather costly.
