Sold for $20.50.  And gues what?!?!  I missed out by 2 seconds.  But I was able to get one for my wife any way.  I placed the order and got a very good price for one that already has a bolt mod and all new keys.  It is a 1987 vintage so right in the ballpark for what I wanted to get her.  The only bad part is that my wife will have a better keyboard than me.  Oh, well.  I can live with that.

Some very interesting keycaps on that thing. Shame there isn't a better shot of it.

Wow, $26 each in bulk? $40 only a year or two earlier? Holy crap, that would be alot. Especially when you include inflation. I wonder how much $5 keyboards at the Micro Centers of the world are in bulk.

I'm not upset at all about it in the least.  I was thinking that if I did get it, I would have had to do some work on it any way and try my hand at changing the controller board.  I could have leanred something in the process too.  I seem to have a good controller board fromm the other keyboard I got last week.  That one was a POS.  

On the other hand, I have already gotten another model M for my wife.  And, it's not a terminal model.  I think I did fairly well to buy  the one I did.  For a total of $50.00 and $12.00 shipping, I got one that was made in 1987, has a PS2 connector on the detachable cable, a bolt job and all new springs.  In fact, I just finished putting the order together and paid for it tonight.  If everything goes right, I'll have it within a 5 to 7 days being shipped from North Cental California to Las Vegas.  I probably could have gone cheaper, but my wife wanted something that was guaranteed to be perfect as soon as she plugs it in.  The best way I could think of for that was to get one that was already modded.  And, it was her money.  

I'm planning on doing a comparison write-up as soon as I can test it.  BTW too, I have a friend who just ordered a Customizer 101 and I'll be using it for a few days too.  So maybe I'll have to do a real comparison of the three on side by side tests.  

I just hope I can write it up as well as you all do here, namely Ripster and Kishy.
