Black Alps Switch
« on: Mon, 28 February 2011, 21:09:55 »
Anyone got a few black alps switches lying around?  I want to replace a few on an AT101W.  PM with a price, I only need 2-3, thanks.

I've got a whole AEKII with them, but they are still soldered in place. I swapped the sliders and top housing onto my dell, as I prefer PC compatible keyboards, and the dampened alps over the non-dampened version.

Also, I broke a couple of the switches on the Dell.

Do you need the whole switch, or just the top portion? If you need the whole thing, you can have the whole AEKII with all of those switches, since I'd much rather not desolder anything.

Oh, and there are no keycaps on the keyboard, either. And some empty switch bases.

If you don't want to bother with new ones, you could always swap out the switches from some of the useless keys like scroll lock, pause/break, etc.
Notable Switches I have tried:
black cherry, blue cherry, brown cherry, clear cherry, cherry M84, white alps, black alps, cream alps, Monterey blue alps, Fujitsu Peerless, Gateway2000 rubber dome, Keytronic rubber dome, Model M buckling spring, Model F buckling spring, futaba, black space invader

Do you need only the innards and top parts, or the whole thing?

I have a AEKII with the bottom parts still soldered to the board, plus black ALPS sliders, springs and click leaves.
I could desolder a few and send them to you. If you are in Europe, just send me address in a PM.
