Question about foreign language keyboard

Hi there,
I've been doing some research on which keyboard I should buy (this site was a great resource!) and I settled on a Filco Majestouch. Unfortunately the availability of the version with a Swedish keyboard layout is limited, and keyboardco won't have them in stock until the end of April! They do, however, have ones with the UK kb layout in stock. Looking at the pictures on their site (and the wikipedia links) the layouts appear to be the same except for the paint, so my question is if their functionality will be completely interchangeable as well. I realize it's a bit of a silly and maybe redundant question, but the keyboard costs a decent amount and I'd rather ask a silly question than end up with a silly problem

The hardware is the same (except the legends on the keys), layouts are controlled by the OS. Setting your OS to swedish will give it the standard swedish layout. I would wait though, You will probably never be able to get spare swedish keys. Spare uk english are available at keyboardco.

You are correct. The only difference between the UK and SE/FI Filco should be what is painted on the keys. You set the keymap in the OS.
I am typing on a UK - layout keyboard right now, but with the SE/FI keymap set in the OS.

It could be confusing if you need to look at the keys to find a symbol, though.
For instance, the symbols for Shift-6 to Shift-0 are shifted one step to the right.
The German (DE) layout is almost exactly the same as Swedish for special symbols, but on the other hand, it has Z and Y swapped, and Ü printed on the Å key.
