In several recent posts, the topic of noise level has come up and inevitably someone will say "put X under your keyboard to muffle the sound if it bugs you". How many of you actually do this? I put all my keyboards straight on the desk myself - never gave it a lot of thought.

And even if you do use a pad, do you suddenly have keyboard sliding/scooting issues? (a personal pet peeve of mine)

There are those huge mousepads you can fit both a keyboard and mouse on without problems.
Considering getting one myself.

This is the first time I have heard of this lol so I have not obviously.

And I have a boogie bug aimb.pad xl somewhere, haven't opened it because of my cat ruined my current one!

Yeah, it alters the sound of the strokes in a quite pleasent way.

I just bought an Xtracs pad. Not the giant one, this one is 11x17. I'm going to use it with my ducky 1087 and wrist rest at work. The board and wrist rest slide quite a lot on my cubicle table (I think it is formica). I'll try it on monday and see if it changes the sound.

Speaking of giant mouse pads, could anyone link me to a decent place to buy one? Preferably a European vendor.
