Keyboard wobble
« on: Sun, 06 March 2011, 17:02:15 »
So I just got a Filco tenkeyless from AG, and after using it for about a day I noticed that it tends to wobble when I have it laying flat.  I am going to try and put some filler on the end of one of the feet that seems to be shorter then the rest causing it to wobble.  Any Ideas of what would be a good choice for material for doing this?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Just take your time. This is a common problem with new Filcos.

http://www.amazon.com/Type-AC30272-60-Custom-Trim-Non-Slip/dp/B001PRPBC4

You want this, but not from Amazon. Buy it at your local big box retailer like Walmart or Target; it's usually in the kitchen section near cutting boards and utensils. You'll also find higher grade stuff in the tools section near toolboxes, if it needs to be a little bit thicker and more durable. Easy to cut, long-lasting, and very "non-slip."

Of course, it's also ugly as sin ;)

armando,

ya I was going to go looking for something like that in my closet and just cut up a small strip and super glue it to the foot pad.  twisting the board just a bit worked perfectly though, it was just a very very small wobble but it was bugging me like crazy because I had to put the back feet up to get it to sit straight.

I'm glad that you started this thread. I was having the same problem with my ducky. That fixed it for me too.

Thanks ripster.
