You know who I don't trust? New users to a forum who are rude enough to attempt to do an auction style sale in the middle of a thread about a product coming out at a store.
We have many "strangers" here who have no qualms doing something free for a friend (whoops I meant 'stranger'!!). From sending keycaps to being middlemen to sending sample switches around the world.
GTFO.
You shouldn't trust me, but to be frank I'm surprised you'd actually base credibility on generosity, especially in this case where those who've responded thus far signed up an average of 2 months ago; I imagine you were never warned, as a child, to never accept candy from strangers, or never met someone who was swindled for their money. Or maybe you're too smart for that, or actually believe Geeks would never do such a thing (you do realize LAN centers have locks on their peripherals and hold ID's for collateral, right?) Anyway, I apologize as my comment was in fact rude, because though I'd meant to suggest one trust only those w/ good, well-established reputations within any online community, it was excessive considering most here are adults.
As far as the auction's concerned, that was in response to those who'd expressed interest in acquiring one, but either share my same concerns or simply couldn't find a "friend" to ship them one. That opportunity is obviously worth more to different people, so it's going up on E-Bay next week to ensure those people know that they've paid a fair price, and more importantly, that they're insured by E-Bay in case I am in fact a crook. If you find that funny I'm glad to have amused you ;-)
