Do any of you guys know if microcenter has any of their mechanical keyboards out for display? I really want to try out and see how Cherry blue/brown switches feel.

Microcenter & Fry's around LA have the Steelseries 6Gv2 & Black Widow regular on display to mess with.

I went to  Microcenter in Santa Clara on Wednesday (or was it Tuesday...). And I didn't see any mech keyboards on display. I didn't seen any "gamer" input peripherals as well, so maybe I didn't look hard enough (short on time).

I live 5 min from the microcenter in mayfield ohio and they have black widows on the shelf.  they also have openings in the package where you can push the keys and see how they feel.

Microcenters stock a number of mechanical keyboards depending on the location. On some of the PC enthusiast/hardware sites some people have posted running into them at the stores.

Razer BW, SS 6Gv2/7G, Adesso, Siig, Das, and possibly a few others as well. I think even a few cherry-branded ones as well sorta like at Newegg that sells cherry ML/MX.

The Cambridge Mass. Micro Center had some mech boards but all were shrink wrapped the last time I was there.

I was there like a week ago.  The gaming PC stuff (steelseries, razer, etc) is in the gaming section, which you might not have noticed because it's mostly console stuff.  I don't specifically remember seeing it but the blackwidow (maybe the ultimate?) was in their ad so it should have been in there somewhere.  They have adessos in the regular keyboard section but I didn't see any on display.

I found and adesso at my local microcenter and just opened the package right there to try it out. They didn't have a display model and I felt they needed one haha.

I told the staff in Cambridge, Mass about how people won't pay $150 for a Matias Tactile Pro unless they were out on display and allowed people to type on them, and they responded by letting me try it (they opened the box and let me typed on it). They said that they had issues with people stealing keyboards out on display, though later, they'll get some fold out trays or something for people to try the keyboards.

My local one has Tactile Pros, Adesso MKB-135Bs, and Black Widow Ultimates. Also at least one Micro Center stocked Unicomp Space Savers before, on open display.
