CHERRY Keyboard G80-8113HRBUS-2, Clear Switches
« on: Mon, 14 March 2011, 21:56:12 »

(not my picture)

Has double shots and was bought as a refurbished product. It's in great condition in my opinion. I literally typed on it for half an hour and decided it's not for me as I've gotten used to the lighter feel of my Topre and Cherry Blue's.

I'd probably recommend clears to people that are a fan of buckling springs or coming straight from Rubber Domes as they feel similar to them.

Feel free to ask any questions.

I bought it only for the curiosity of the "clears" that are so hard to find...the only other "new" option of clears out there is the Deck Ice which is $169 not including shipping..so if you've always been curious bout the Cherry Clears, this is a good purchase before dishing out that type of money.

Selling for $45 shipped in the US using.  PM if interested

I'd take the keycaps if anyone just wants the Cherry clears, we can split the cost :)

Nope, all I need is the modifier keys, ctrls, alts, shifts... but i mean if all you want is the switches I will take whatever I can get, probably do a mix and match or something.

half as in 50/50? I don't think the keycaps are worth as much as those cherry clears, but that's up for the seller to decide.

I don't want to be rude, but i really don't understand that "No outside Us shipping" thing.

For me i go to my post office and sending to france, europe, world, (moon ?) is the same thing.

Is it very different in US ? This the non-State-owned way of posting i think.

I can see the effects in Germany, a real hassle indeed.

Well, for one, it's a serious annoyance to fill out the customs form. You have to do it exactly right, or do it over. They are seriously anal about it, at least in my post office.

Plus, I think a lot of sellers aren't willing to deal with the almost inevitable "it costs HOW much?" question.

Plus the necessity of more careful packaging, the total inability to track it (so there is no chain of custody), etc. put a lot of sellers off.

Not saying it's right, but then, I've often dealt with the issue in the reverse direction. Getting a Sony-Ericsson P990i was an exercise in frustration, as nobody was willing to ship it to me, even for $100 in shipping. Apparently sending in to the US is a giant hassle.

Oh, and technically, the USPS is a government run, for profit organization. Or did you mean in France it isn't state owned?

I think he assumed that here it would have nothing to do with the government.

To get even more technical, it's illegal for the government to make money. So it is just highly affiliated with, not a part of the government.

Of course, there are the UPS' and fedexes here that are very much just companies and I suppose you could use one of those as well. It sounds like that's a bad idea from what I gather though. Price-wise, anyway.

True, though it is staffed and managed by government employees. And I think it's "for profit" in the "self sustaining" sense, as they cut back the tax support of it around the same time as stamps started getting more expensive.

pretty much what theferenc said... it's pretty much too much hassle for me

it's because I do all the shipping through our mail carrier online here in the states which is the USPS.. they make it really easy where i can just print out the printing slip myself and I just give it to my dad who actually works there

sorry
