I turned off my computer and took a nap. I didn't want to chance my computer being wrecked by a power surge when everyone turned the power back on.
Then I found out the next day that power consumption did not go down, or actually went up, in both Edmonton and Calgary because it was the "Battle of Alberta" that evening... that is, the Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames were facing each other in a hockey game.
So the Toronto and Montreal newspapers are telling the people there how little we denizens of oil-rich Alberta care for the environment...
