Vegans are weirdos.

I just wanted this reiterated.

Edit: I just noticed we have a vegan in a thread created by BaconKnight. The humor factor is high here.

Can we stop hating on RiGS because he's a vegan? That's HIS choice that we have no part of.

You do realize you could have just gone free range/humane kill rather than full on vegan, right?

Of course, it makes sense, and I think it is a very good thing.

I'm not a strict, or a rigid person with a weird long rasta hair.

Technically, I do not consider myself a vegan like some kind of a cult member,
I just avoid diary and meat in my diet, because I enjoy the healthy effects of
this life style, and the taste of my smoothies, nuts, tempeh, spinach, quinoa, etc.

Also at the same time I like the fact, that I do not have to exploit the animals.

However, as an adult athlete I refuse to consume milk. It is counterproductive in my experience, and I think milk is intended for little babies, and I neither feel the urge to eat eggs.

Yes, I not refuse to lick an ice cream occasionally, or eat some turkey as a guest.

Also note, that I do not want to force my choice on others.

Also, how exactly are eggs and milk products exploitative and suffering inducing?

I'm not into this Peta thing, and I even support small-scale farming, but you can read this just to get an idea.

This kind of thread puts me in the mood for cheeseburgers. Tonight I suggested that my family all get cheeseburgers. I made mine a double, for RiGS. Got a milkshake and fries too =)

Also, stop being so confrontational about Topre keyboards. Sure, you "like them", and so claims Ripster as well, but it's seriously annoying to have to read the same damn nonsense over and over, much of it patently incorrect, and the rest personal opinion stated as fact.

Now, I admit I jokingly suggested Topre as the quieter of black and red, but as I had just come from the audiophile thread, it seemed funny. Any it was obvious to everyone that it was a joke (I think so, anyway). Based on my knowledge of how they work, a black can be the quietest, if you adjust your typing, mod the board, etc. But as someone else stated, while the Topre might be louded in absolute dB, pitch matters. Just compare a Model M and a blue Cherry keyboard. The M is louder in dB, the blue FEELS louder to most people because of the much higher pitch.

At least I told my honest opinion based on my experience, and I wasn't "joking" around when someone asked for advice.

However you do not even own a Topre Realforce, or Cherry blacks.
Linear switches have lower pitch than the clicky ones.

I understand your "fanboyism", given the fact that you paid close to 300 bucks for your HHKB.
However I was lucky and got my Topre for nearly the same price as my Cherry keyboard, and I not hesitated to enlight the things that I not like about it.

Also how was the OP supposed to know that you were joking?

Actually, I have used both a realforce and a black cherry. Also, you don't know what I paid for my tools.

Actually, anyone with any ability at reading comprehension should have realized, since I didn't answer the question asked.

Anyway, in the end, it matters not. I'm not a fanboy of Topre. If anything, I'm a buckling spring fanboy, but even that, not really. I firmly believe in using the best tool for the job. Even if, for you, that tool is a keyboard with Cherry switches.

It's one thing to make racist comments about Jews, this could be forgiven. But derogatory remarks about Topre? This will be much harder to wash off. Even for a vegan.

Morpheus: Which pill will you choose?

RiGS: I'm sorry, the gelatin coating is made from cow stomachs. Do you have a vegan version of that pill?

In this thread? Probably, yes.

Also, I was making fun of The Matrix in that last post, not RiGS.
Didn't you see the funny hat on Morpheus??
