ISO… I prefer ANSI, if I had a realforce it would be ANSI.
I like your avatar btw.

This will match perfect in my Realforce 91 UBY. The colours are awesome and the japanese lettering looks fantastic.

Where can I purchase this beauty keycaps? For sure they are expensive.

I don't even own a Realforce and I'd want to get some of those keycaps... Guess owning a set of keycaps would be good justification to buy a keyboard to go with them

So, is applescript asking if someone will place the order for him/her, or what?

I'm interested in getting a set of these, too...

Since you are in Singapore try VR-Zone.  They are quite good at Group Buys.  Logical.  Easy to follow.  Organized.

Thanks Captain Obvious.

1) The topre community in Singapore is too small for me to organise a MO (Mass Order aka Group Buy)

2) The topre community here is larger and there are more willing buyers.

3) It would make sense for an American/European to conduct the group buy since most buyers are likely to come from that region thus saving on shipping costs. I am likely to lose out due to multiple postage costs but if I were to conduct it, most of the buyers would be forking out extra.

4) The geekhack community would appreciate the keycaps more than any other forum.

Very simple arithmetic.

Price of raw materials (PBT) : approx. USD 3,000/ton
Price of raw materials (PBT) : approx.   0.3 cent/gram

Weight of each keytop        : approx.   1 gram
Weight of 108 ketops           : approx. 130 gram

So... Raw material price of one full set is 40 cents.
Now, Retail price of one full set (on amazon.co.jp) is USD 100.-

250 times.. Good for you.
That is a really serious business !!

I'm worried about these being offered as an anniversary item.  Will  they go away in a few months or stick around forever like the filco white "special edition"....?

MO (Mass Order aka Group Buy)

Ah - "Mass Order" makes a lot more sense than "Money Order".

It looks like it's just myself and NormaJean who are currently interested.  I guess 1/3 shipping is better than 100% shipping...  (Am I being too obvious?...)

I'm thinking that the fact that this is not in the right forum is not getting us all the answers we could be getting.

I'm interested but I live in Canada, I'm not sure that buying keycaps only the 3 of us would make it that much cheaper, we need at least three time more people!

Well, someone can start an interest check in the group buy section.

Living in Canada I think I would have a pretty hard time just to have one set shipped to me. If you are willing and able to set up a group buy I will definately buy 2-3 sets of those amazingly colored keycaps.

:D

I believe I can start a group buy but as mentioned it would cost more as compared to you spearheading it.

Start a group buy thread and rally support. Collect cash. Ship the sets to yourself. Split the shipping evenly with the rest of the buyers. Then help them ship their sets to them (at their own cost of course).

I'd be interested in these if it has US layout and not too expensive.  Unfortunately with my current work schedule, I won't be able to spearhead the group buy thing.  Hopefully someone else will.

Not a lot of owners of JIS Realforces.

I'd mention the Asian forums for group buys but the OP got mad last time I did that.

Yep. Only a few would pay $100 for a JIS realforce key cap set.

If you're willing to spend, they are readily available from english Rakuten. just search for the product ID.
