keys not seating properly?
« on: Sun, 01 May 2011, 12:01:26 »
Hi guys,

So I got my first mechanical keyboard a little while back and everything has been good so far. But the other day I decided to try to take a few keys off out of curiosity. When I tried to put them back on, I noticed it sat higher than the neighboring keys.

Is there some special way to get the keys to go all way down on the switch stem? What am i doing wrong? I've only taken out the arrow keys so far, so it's not a big deal for me, but now i'm worried about taking off any of the main keys =/

Thanks guys. Awesome forum.

Welcome on GH,
You can press them in quite hard, be sure to wiggle them.
That should work

Thanks for the advice. After pushing with more force, it seems to have gone in a bit more. not quite all the way, but close enough. I guess I was just being too gentle at first do to this being my first time (with a mech keyboard). :$

Cheers =)
