gimpster!  One of the guys at our last keyboard meetup has a NIB black 86U variable weight for sale.  I think he is selling his used old 55g 86UB as well.  I can hook you up.  Last time we checked with leopold.co.jp they said they don't make 55g anymore.  But if you do want to buy 87U, maybe we can order together and share shipping when they are back in stock by the end of June.  Whether I will buy the 87U depends on how much I will like the Filco reds that is coming soon.

I would definitely consider an 86U for the right price, but it definitely needs to be the all 55gr switches. I've tried both and definitely like the feel of the uniform key weight better. And if it doesn't pan out, then I'd be happy to share on the shipping when they come back in stock. I got an email back from Leopold today saying they expect them to be available in July.

That's not true. Actually they don't make the white 87U 55g anymore, but they do make the black 87UB 55g.
