Why are dye subs better than doubleshots?

They generally wear much nicer than the Cherry ABS double shots, but essentially they are the same as the older Cherry lasered keys, since they are the exact same PBT type from the very same molds. They tend to not go shiny at all and do not yellow much. The older PBT keys kinda feel like silk and keep that texture for a long time.

All in all they however can wear out the print, even if it takes several million activations or acid sweat to do so. I've seen it happen.

Looks like it uses that same bulbous font as the Doubleshots.  I like the IBM crisper Helvetica look myself.

But I'm a Helvetica Hipster.

Yeah, Cherry used the same font for all the labels and even some keyboard boxes until around 1996, when it got a bit more narrowed for their lasered models.

I actually have a copy of their original font somewhere that I managed to get by smooth talking. Sadly its in some weird plotter file format that I did not manage to open with anything yet.

Hey Gwb, this isn't exactly a 'great find' if you're promoting your own product... Anyway, good luck with the sale. Unlike your previous board this one has all the key caps, so it should generate quite a bit of interest, even with the damaged case.

Neither do I. Promoting your product and creating some buzz is good for business. I just don't consider it a great find when posting a link to your own sale. Even though it may very well turn out to be a great find for someone else.

Technically you're supposed to create a classified to promote your auctions rather than post them in great finds. IMav said that a while back.
