just like the first red I got, both new reds are the same. If you put your ear next to the keyboard and hit the key normal to hard, you hear some high Hz ping sound from the key bottoming out, and with a few keys you can hear the spring makes the springie noise when the key comes back up. But that is like trying to stab yourself to verify that you can bleed. Having your ear next to the keyboard make it very hard to type and look at the screen at the same time, even if you are awesome at touch typing. And you look like a complete dork while doing this. So really, why do it? I only hear the normal bottoming out sound when I type while sitting upright, my normal typing position.
