Key profile & "tiering"

I'm tripping over the keys on my Das partially due to the profile of the keys. They seem to be "tiered" kind of like seats in a stadium, and I'm still used to a totally flat laptop style keyboard.

Does anyone know of any BS boards that keep the keytops closer to the same plane?

I don't know of any Buckling Spring boards, but I hear Deck boards have uniform key profiles.

Indeed, if you actually WANT flat keys (and you are an oddity!), Deck keycaps should suit you. Be advised, those fonts are UGLY!

Also, if you aren't using a wrist rest that could be strongly contributing to your problems. I felt similarly going from a Mac chiclet board to my Filco until I got a wrist rest. Now I much prefer it!

lol... Wrist rest are also pleasant when you are in wait-state. Hands on the keyboard but not typing :-)

Wow you're super helpful and mature, thanks for your advice. Years of guitar and rock climbing have left me with existing tendon issues that can flare up from poor typing posture or too much force required to push down the keys. Hence, I type on a red switch board with a wrist rest at work to minimize inflaming anything while I'm coding during the day.

So yeah, thanks for the random insult when I have a very good reason for what I do. Go troll OCN.

This. (Though I have no clue what an N2 would be.)

I can't say a flat BS board would seem too sensible to me though. That's the kind of keyswitch that invites oldschool "pecking" style typing with a rather high hand position. Curvature is quite handy there, which is precisely why it was included in the first place.

I'd say get your sitting posture and keyboard height right and go with a regular curved M.

Hardware in signatures clutters Google search results. There should be a field in the profile for that (again).

This message was probably typed on a vintage G80-3000 with blues. Double-shots, baby. :D
