I've seen a few of those on ebay prices between $1000-$1500. I would buy one if I have money to burn.

I think I saw these on ebay with cherry mx switches. I really wanna hear what they sound like with blues. It must resonate so nicely.

yah maybe it'll help turn the mechanical "ping" into a nicer sound. it might make keyboards with louder ping even more desirable
seriously though, i would not mind that wooden kb on my desk at all. it costs as much as my very first car did.

I don't really understand why these keyboards cost so much. They are laser engraved keys so each key wouldn't really take that long to make. I guess the only difficult part would be hollowing out the part for the cherry switch but even that could be done quite quickly with a chisel. Maybe I am biased since I do a lot of wood work as a hobby

The guy had to go into the wood and chopped down the trees before he can individually handmade each keyboard.

Pretty sure I've seen a wooden keyboard in the movie "Final Cut" with Robin Williams.

im currently tearing the g81 insides out the attached old clunker I found, replacing it with a new g80-3000 USB, though i still need to swap the switch tops to greens (i have enough finally).
Also on the list of stuff to do is give it a few sessions of sanding to make it shine again...fell in love when I saw it. I have a set of new old stock g80 doubleshots for the board as well, once I get in in the wood frame.

haha, so do i!
A few of these popped up on ebay.de a few months back and went completely unnoticed. When I noticed them, 3 had already sold for peanuts. I got mine for 1 €, but sent the seller 10 because I was happy. Haven't seen one since, sadly.

I'd like one with Scrabble tile keys.
