I actually only like clears, though I haven't tried reds as I'm not a huge linear fan. If only they came in a layout worth using. HHKB with cherry clears? I would consider buying that, I think.
I actually find browns to be annoyingly light to type on, blues are WAY too high pitched and feel like cheap buckling springs clones, and I'm personally not a fan of the linear blacks. Clears though are the right mix...the goldilocks switch, if you will.
I guess I'm just old enough and UNIX beardish enough that a solid UNIX layout is of primary importance, and switch is important, but less so. This is why all of the "HHKB killers" are nothing of the sort for people who actually value the HHKB layout more than the switching technology.
So what I'm saying is, clears are the best, but layout is more important than which cherry switch it has.
