well, its just arrived much to my surprise. I got 2 day shipping, but amazon sent it to me overnight for some reason, for free! Hey I'm not complaining.

Anyways...this keyboard is leagues beyond the others I've had and im saying that after over 2 hours of extreme scrutiny.

The new features listed on this keyboard like the double plating are 100% real, they are not marketing gimmicks. It explains why the keys on my filco are so much more solid and firmly in position compared to the das.

The filco feels just soo much higher quality. Each keycap and keystroke are absolutely solid and firm. The keys do NOT wiggle if you shake them around.

I just wanted to say, that I am completely sorry for doubting Filco, and I see now why they charge the prices that they do for these boards.

Yes, they are made in the same exact factory as the das and some others...but its like comparing a bmw 3 series to a M6.

Also NOTE: The filco feels quite a bit heavier than the das, not sure if its because of the switches or the brand new back plate that it uses. And, as I mention in the 2nd video, the new extending legs on the filco ninja have a rubber section, so the board does not move around with the legs extended.

I will add more comments and observations as they come along, Questions comments?

Thanks for posting the videos.  It seems that even the Ninja linear version is pretty different than the tactile version.  The red LEDs and even the box appears different.  In the video it's hard to tell, but does the Ninja box have outline of the keyboard on the front?

Also, your keys do ring, about the same as mine do.

Which do you find more comfortable to type on? And which do you find is faster when you type?

I'm not impressed with Filco at all.  I had a Filco Majestouch 2 (Cherry MX Brown) which I promptly returned.

Filco = overrated and overpriced

Yep, the box does have an outline of the keyboard.

What is the ring you are talking about? I tried so hard to find it, but this filco keyboard sounds very similar to the das keyboard, except quiter when bottoming out.

After using the ninja for 2 hours, I realized that while on the das, I bottomed out on almost every single keystroke. The tactile bump on browns is impossible for me to feel when typing fast. Also, I noticed i was making a ton more mistakes on the brown switches than I am on the blacks. The whole point behind tactile bump in mechanical keyboards is so that you can type without bottoming out....but since I always bottom out on the das keyboard silent with brown switches, I think there is no point in me having a brown switch keyboard.

Only thing with the ninja is that I am going to have to get used to the added resistance.

The linear switch FEELS better to type on by far, and the funny thing is that this gaming keyboard is maybe 20 times quieter than the das "SILENT" keyboard.

In terms of speed, typeracer.com has me at around the same speed for both the das and the filco. My speed is not slower than when using the browns.

Yes, well, that's partly because you think this is the best keyboard in the world.

But I agree the Thermaltake is definitely not overrated around here.

Best keyboard in the world?  That is debatable depending on what type of switch you prefer.

Best Cherry MX Black mechanical keyboard?  Definitely!

And obviously you must believe in its quality since you are so interested in the Mionix Zibal 60 which is apparently the same as the Thermaltake Meka G1 but with backlighting.

Apparently even "noodles256" ended up getting a Meka G1 even after he made so much fun of it.

Apparently hanging around Geekhack will make your keyboards speak to you.

No, the keyboards are just calling. Ring, ring, ring! Expecting forum members to answer the call soon.

Jeez, I get called a troll and I am the only sane person on this issue.  People HATE being so wrong.
I really tried hearing something out of place in few posted videos. I failed.
So you do have my support on this.

The HHKB does cute oscillations if a key is released in a snap, too, even being mostly plastic without metal plate and springs (we can safely ignore the sensor ones). Can't beat physics.

Yeah, and the way the switch is built you can kind of feel it if you leave your finger on the surface of the key after letting it snap up quickly.

That's because if your board doesn't have the issue, you're not going to find it.

I would stop what you're doing before you break the damn thing!

haha oh no worries, this thing is built like a tank.

I am very happy with my filco ninja linear black edition. Its the best keyboard ive ever owned, better than the razer blackwidow ultimate, better than das keyboard professional s silent, and better than all of my rubber domes.

This thing is a gem, I am 100% satisfied.

Well, seems I did the right thing buying this keyboard when I did...because its 100% sold out on amazon, except for the tenkeyless. The keyboard company uk is sold out of them in their uk location too.

I told you guys to get it while you still could, now you have to wait. Muahahaha =D
