They must have ignored Filco because they don't market the keyboard as "gaming".

They must because no one outside GH or DK knows anything about them, because they are difficult to get and including them in a mainstream site could be almost pointless, from their point of view.

The review didn't say that it was only for gaming keyboards. It was a review for "High-End Keyboards". Filco and Realforce weren't high-end enough to be included in the list. Steelseries and Das both got a 9.

@reaper: enjoy your new keycaps!

Clearly a bull**** article if they claim the Das has blacks in it. At least get basic details right...

Yeah, I had to read that twice at first.

I still don't understand how Razer thinks it's OK to market the BW as 6KRO when it is clearly 2KRO.

I thought it had a 3kro with a "gaming matrix"?  I really dont think all those keyboards have 6kro.  Can anyone verify that?

Thats not true. Theres a HUGE demand for filco keyboards as the starcraft2 pros are starting to use them

btw aren't most of these keyboards 2KRO even they listen them as 6KRO?

A lot of GSL korean players use Filco keyboards and Razer.  Though I think they use Razer because they are being paid to do so.  The Microsoft and das keyboards are the only 2 that do not advertise as "gaming".  It seems that using the marketing ploy of putting "gaming" in front of your keyboards label makes it more ambitious.

I'm surprised most Starcraft players don't use Korean mechanical keyboards like the Aron.

Seems unpatriotic.

But then money talks, morals walks.

Because filcos are the best, even the soluter won't admit it

Currently shipping Filcos are NKRO over USB or 6KRO over USB.

how can you tell which one you have?

Uhh, Razer BW has blues right? Das has the option for blues or browns, so I do not think they were wrong at all.

RTFA. They claim that the Das has the same switches as the Steelseries 7G and under specs they even list the Das as having MX Blacks. So unless they were sent some new version of the Das that is not out yet they are very very wrong.

You quote me, but you apparently didn't read what you quoted. Das does have options for blues and browns, you are correct. Where is black on that list?

I read what you wrote, but for some reason had thought they compared the Das to the BW not the SS, I just wasn't reading the article that carefully I suppose (I didn't look at any of their specs, so I didn't see that they had written it had blacks)

I think we can agree those guys are a bit too big on shiny backlighting and extra keys...
Extensive research has found your statement to be of inferior quality.  Please revise it.

I'm pretty sure ripster (at least I think that's who it was) has mentioned just getting a regular 7-inch screen and sticking it in that same spot. Then, you can have the same kind of functionality. If you like that, I think that's a better solution than relying on something that has it built in, since then it doesn't matter what the board is or if you switch.

I also think backlit is useless. But most of the boards I use are beige, so what the **** do I know.
