I can't believe these are so expensive in the US. I have bought four or five of these in the past and never paid more than 10 GBP.

Yeah, I know what keyboard it is. The original tactile pro was an awful keyboard on just about every front. The case is made from a horrible cheap plastic, the print wears off the key and top if off, they ping like mad.

I just finished cleaning one the other day.

Yeah the matias boards are bot built with quality in mind. In fact, for the price I think their build quality is terrible. I think someone one here bought a new tactile pro 3 a little while ago; they wrote quite a detailed review and I'm pretty sure they came to a similar conclusion.

Well, it depends on how much you pay for it. I feel MTP3 typing mostly like MX blue, if compared to all MX switches. I am not sure what switch it used, probably Fukka or XM by the review. The build quality is in normal level to me. There is a small gap between the upper and lower case. But unless you need to move it everyday, this won't be a problem, and it's perfect for office use for me. Anyway, I think it's a decent MAC mechanical board around $100.

Purchased for $160 at official site. I don't think Limited Edition is available anywhere else - at least for now. 30-day money back guarantee is there but hopefully I won't have to use it. I won't find out until August when it comes out.

You can get them in amazon cheaper, I got one from there. I think $160 is a bit high for this board, probably around $125 is more reasonable. If you can get it with about $100, then it's a pretty good deal.

I got an almost new one for $70 shipped not too long ago, gave it to someone as a gift to go with their new iMac. Worth every penny, and she's in love with it. Money well spent at twice the price, considering how happy she is with it.

Edit: If that one on Amazon was sold by Amazon, and not a random seller, I likely would have bought that instead. But since I was buying from a random seller, I figured someone with significant ebay feedback was at least as trustworthy, so I saved the money, instead. That's a good price, though $50 more than I paid, shipped.

I had these exactly keyboard until a few months ago.  Wasn't a fan of those switches at all.  Ended up giving it away to someone.

ALPS aren't for everyone. I vastly prefer them to anything produced by Cherry. The only better choice would be a topre or buckling spring keyboard.
