Has anyone tried both of these? How do they compare?

not sure what you're looking to compare.  filco versus ducky, there's lots to look at, but the ninja is a tkl board with a unique key label where as the 9008 is a 108 key board.  both are plate mounted.

The Ninja does have a full sized version: http://www.filco.com.tw/product.php?page_id=23&product_id=66

I am looking for a keyboard with cherry brown switches to replace my Razer BlackWidow. My typing speed on my ThinkPad and Das Professional hovers around 100. However, on the Razer my speed drops to about 85 due to increased typos. I also make more keying mistakes playing Starcraft 2. And the Razer is a little tacky for my taste.

My criteria for picking a keyboard is twofold: aesthetics and functionality. Aesthetically, both keyboards suit my taste, so it comes down to functionality. Since I use my keyboard for 80% typing and 20% rts gaming, I will pick the keyboard that is a better typing machine (i.e., faster wpm and/or less typo).

Since I do not have the opportunity to test the keyboards, I would like to hear some thoughts and experience from someone who did. :)

Here is a review of the ninja by some dude who types 150wpm:

You might wanna ask him how he likes it for speed typing. He compares it with the das, but no mention of ducky.

Yeah I\'d defo keep it. I got 3 filcos here and all of them ping.  Didnt think anything of it until I read on here. Its 2 gen1\'s and a ninja and they all do it. I just hear it as all part of the filco sound and I quite like it. It must be extremely common as all 3 of mine and my friends does it. So out of the 4 Filcos I\'ve used all of them from different gens and batches all do it. I\'m sure if I get another and it doesnt ping you\'ll see a thread from me saying "WTF my filco doesnt ping!! return?!?"
