Will these keycaps work with my Filco?
« on: Sun, 10 July 2011, 02:55:04 »
I have a Filco Majestouch, and was wondering if these bad boys would work with it:

http://www.inpad.com.tw/goods.php?act=view&no=4189

And if they do, then I have a few questions:

-How do I actually go about purchasing them?  My Taiwanese is rusty and Google Translate really ain't perfect.
-Has anyone purchased from this site before?  And if so, is shipping a ton?  Apparently, they cost like ~$44 USD, which ain't bad, but if shipping is like $20 then I dunno...

Oh and if they won't work, anyone know of another place where I can get carved in black keycaps for my Majestouch?  I'm not really particular about brand or anything (READ: I know nothing about purchasing keycaps), so any help at all and I'd really appreciate it.  Tanks!

your link takes me to inpad's home page...  can you describe the keys you want to use?

I've read that you can use Cherry keys on a Filco FWIW

here it is...

From your comments I'll assume you were looking at Ducky black engraved keycap set. Yes those will fit 100%.

The product page says they're "Ducky 108 PBT Black Cap Lamp with carved eagle Ray Group | English" (here's the actual link http://www.inpad.com.tw/goods.php?act=view&no=4189)

See this thread for some info about ordering from there. They also sell those sets at PCHome. PCHome looks cheaper and is easier to order from too.

edit: oops PCHome only has ABS in stock.

If you're looking for black engraved you can order from imsto in the group buy section. I just got a set from him and it's awesome.
They're not ducky's tho, they're kbc. But i don't think there's a difference since they're both pbt caps anyway.

oh my god...those are shockingly amazing. It makes me kind of regret getting a Filco ninja because these keys appeal far more to me =)
