Ever had this problem?
« on: Tue, 19 July 2011, 12:40:25 »
I had the black widow keyboard and i noticed today when i was typing that some of the keys were like "locking up". I would try to press "t,z,p,j" and they would not let me press then down, i would then take my finger off the key and press it again, the second time it would work. My question is have any of you ever had this problem with a mechanical keyboard before?

P.S.- I returned the keyboard back to micro center and got my money back.

Were you trying to press all 4 at the same time, or do I have that wrong?
Hardware in signatures clutters Google search results. There should be a field in the profile for that (again).

This message was probably typed on a vintage G80-3000 with blues. Double-shots, baby. :D

Get some cans of air, pop the keycaps off, and then use the compressed air to blow into the switches while gently wiggling and depressing the switch stem. It sounds like you might have dirt or hair clogging up your switches.

No i wasnt trying to press them all at the same time, it was just those keys that were giving me some problems. Do you think i could have dirt in the keys, i only had the keyboard for like 2 weeks?
