I chose not because Norway was already in every news papers and TV channels. At least over here in Canada. I didn't see any reason to add one more channel to it.

Amy's death was a surprise, as opposed to a flood of information about the even sadder events in Norway.

Does she has the right to rest in peace even if she was troubled?
Can she rest in peace even if a crazy fk killed more or less 90 innocents in Norway?

I like her early work.

I paid as little attention to AW as I could before she died. I take two things from her death:

After watching a couple of videos, simply out of curiosity, I was surprised to find that I think she was talented enough to be in the 27 Club with Joplin, Cobain, Hendrix, and Morrison. The list of female singers who I enjoy listening to, is very short. AW has posthumously made that list with Martina McBride, Norah Jones, and maybe 5 others.
No amount talent = any amount of common sense or intelligence.

Her death is a tragedy, but I hope her life wasn't anyone's gold standard, either.
