TG3 Data911 Keyboards w/ Touchpad $15 - $35
« on: Sun, 24 July 2011, 19:38:44 »

Check out my review for more pictures!

Selling a big lot of M2C-TG3-TP keyboards. These have plate mounted Cherry Black switches with individual red LEDs for backlighting and a rubber dome splash guard layer between the key caps and switches. Integrated touchpad by Synaptics.

All prices are inclusive of shipping within the CONUS via Priority Mail! Outside the US, contact for a quote. As always, everything is tested working unless otherwise noted, but sold as is with no returns.

The following are available for purchase:
1. Multiple PS/2 Boards in good condition - $30 per board
2. Multiple PS/2 Boards for parts - $15 per board
-For parts boards mainly have key cap / switch stem damage, including missing key caps and / or switch stems that have broken off. They can be powered on, but will NOT be function tested before sale.

How about some photos? Also, is the rubber sheet removable to turn this into a regular feeling mx black keyboard, or will the keycaps no longer fit?
Kinesis Contoured Advantage & Advantage2 LF with Cherry MX Red switches / Extra keys mod / O-ring dampening mod / Dvorak layout. ErgoDox with buzzer and LED mod.
Also: Kinesis Advantage Classic, Kinesis Advantage2, Data911 TG3, Fingerworks Touchstream LP, IBM SSK (Buckling spring), Goldtouch GTU-0077 keyboard

They are removable and the keycaps feel fine afterwards. Photos coming, I will probably do a review of the board.

Added a pic of one of the USB boards, seems to be in similar condition to the other ones. Issues of note are *DIRTEH!* and the usual stretched cord.

This is a great board, no house should be without one! I removed the membrane and the key action is so smooth... the overal feel is extremely solid with the metal plate and sturdy construction.
Get them while they last!
Anyone know if the trackpad supports some sort of scrolling, such as 2-finger or edge scrolling? I have the USB version and it doesn't scroll, at least on my ubuntu linux box.

I thought linux added that even if it didn't exist? Or at least I installed xubuntu on a p3 laptop one time, and it never had that ability before in XP. Never looked anything up about it since it just happened.

These are great boards; they are solid!  I think if I ever don't want to use it as a kb it can be a boat anchor, personal security device, or bullet proof plate! :-)

The mythbusters might decide to test that on your board with that kind of talk.

Possible, but highly difficult as the controller is located in the Touchpad area and might be a 2 in 1 sort of deal, so you'll have to rewire that.

REVENGE, does the backlight work properly on your PS/2 boards? I'm reading here about dual voltage requirements on some other TG3's to make the backlight work.

My backlighting works on mine with trackpad and without trackpad. Seems to just be those keyboards with clears.

Works fine on a native PS/2 port and on my Gearhead adapter, nice and bright. I don't know about those Clear BL82s, TG3 could have used a custom backlight driver for those.
