Razer DeathAdder 3.5g
« on: Tue, 26 July 2011, 11:41:04 »
I accidentally bricked my buddy's DA by trying to update the firmware, and now I need to replace it.

Would prefer the standard (non-black) edition, needs to be right-handed.

Thanks!

Are you sure it is bricked?
I thought I bricked mine, too, as the update crashed.. but after unplugging it and plugging into a different USB port 5 minutes later, it worked again.
Give it a try!

I'd rather just replace what I broke. That way there's no question about it.

And @agor, yeah it's toast. 3 different computers, every single port. USB device not recognized.

I didn't realize you could brick a deathadder via firmware update? wtf.. anyway can't you RMA it with razer? THey're really good about that, 2 year warranty just need the original receipt which since I buy from amazon just pulled up the old order from their site and pdf'd it and sent it their way.  Replaced a deathadder and orochi this way due to various malfunctions.  This seems like it'd work.

at least on my copperhead there was some sort of "safe boot mode" where you had to hold down a button. I would contact razer, if you can't RMA it then maybe they can help
