I think you'll find that alot more people are trying to get those springs than the other way around.

The springs are probably available through an industrial source. Cherry may not have them made. So the key is to use the Cherry spring specifications and possibly find a source.

The problem is also the price, in relatively little quantities, springs close to the cherry specs are available for something like 50$ for 100 pieces, so buying them will become pointless.

Which still leaves me wondering: How intercompatible are alps and cherry springs? I've only seen alps springs because I have yet to do any switch mods to cherry boards.

wonder would cutting part off the black springs and then stretching them make them lighter?

i also wouldnt mind a set of springs to my my black keyboard to something lighter. after using my HHKB Pro 2 my the blacks on my other board just seems over heavy (something i never noticed before).

Yes, but you can't do it uniformly enough with just hand tools.
