Filco to Ergo Clears
« on: Sat, 30 July 2011, 01:36:35 »
When upgrading a Filco tenkeyless to ergo-clears.  Which switches would you start with if you could pick any switch?  Would you switch all of the keys or just some?  What would you do for the spacebar?  If you left some untouched which color would you pick to go with the ergo-clears?

I don't think it matters, but if you are looking to buy a board with the express purpose in mind of doing ergos, I would assume you should order browns so you have the springs.
Filco Majestouch-2 with Cherry Corp. doubleshot keys - Leopold Tenkeyless Tactile Force with Wyse doubleshots - Silicon Graphics 9500900 - WASD V1 - IBM Model M 52G9658 - Noppoo Choc Pro with Cherry lasered PBT keycaps - Wyse 900866-01 - Cherry G80-8200LPBUS/07 - Dell AT101W - several Cherry G81s (future doubleshot donors) (order of current preference) (dang I have too many keyboards, I really only need two)

I went for a harder switch for the spacebar, since I tend to hit the spacebar pretty hard. In my case, I put in a MX grey switch

What would you do for the spacebar?

Gray stem + standard clear spring (more or less a standard clear switch).
