If you live in EU just divide by 1.3 and prices look much cheaper.

it is still 90$ = 70€ for a */TKL with EU Layout

Recommended kits are:
SPH/STANDARD
SPH/TKL
SPH/SPACE
RETRO/STANDARD
RETRO/STDRGBY
RETRO/TKL
RETRO/TKLRGBY
RETRO/SPACE

Rawk on! I like the simplified ordering idea.

I will add the option that you can order something like STANDARDDE or STANDARDFR, so it will cost only a bit more than US-layout.
It is minus 2 2.25 units keys and plus a 1.25 units, 1 unit and a J-Ret.

Just have to find a way to avoid an extra-long list (number of standard kits times number of language options).

Also, I can do Filco and Cherry versions, so you don't need to buy a Caps Lock you never need. maybe I should change my order system.
Something like

TENKLESS[FILCO,DE]
or
STANDARD[CHERRY150,FR,RGBY,CONTROL]
^^^
- Cherry G80-1000/3000 without windows keys,
- French layout
- RGBY modifiers
- Control key instead of Caps Lock.

This throws me back to the question why there are more than one kind keyboard (Tipro for the world!!!!).

Unfortunately, SPH ist just not for me.

However, i'd take NOIR over ORANJE over ROUND3 over RETRO/GREY over RETRO.

Still hoping for 2-3 Standard Sets to make it through and RGB modifiers/ symbols for everyone.

The point is that higher quantities do not lower the costs much more when some amount is reached.

1 unit: from 1000 key caps on there is only a 10% lower price if we order 2500 and only 4% if we reach around 6000. Fot 10,000 the price stys the same.

1.25 to 1.75 units: from 800 to 1500 there is only a 6% lower price and then it goes only down by 2% round 2000 key caps. Above this there is no significant decrease of price.

And so on.

We only save whith higher amounts of 1.25 units and higher (especialy 2.25,2.75 and L/J-return)

Disappointing, but that's like it is.

So it would not be helpful to reduce the number of styles to get a lower price.

OK, so that suggests that the way to help buyers is to have fewer extra keys in the core kits — split off things like the stepped keys, alpha cursors, extra F J, etc. into separate sets.

—OR—

Decompose the sets into core parts, for example:
 SPH/STANDARD125 → SPH/ALNUM/GREY + SPH/ANSI/BLUE + SPH/MOD125/BLUE + SPH/CURSORBLK/BLUE + SPH/NUMPAD + SPH/F1TO4/BLUE + SPH/F5TO8/GREY + SPH/F9TO12/BLUE + SPH/ESC/RED or whatever.
and then for example TENKLESS would be the same except you choose to leave out NUMPAD, etc.

you know what we really need for this is a WASD-like flash configurator. any flash gurus in the house?

i remember people had solidworks/sketchup models for the proposed keysets in round 3. can any of those people do mockups for the styles in this round?

I use ANSI keyboard layout, but i want swedish keys.
If i order TKLSE, does that kit include 1.25 [\ |] (or a 1.25 swedish version of that key[' *]?)
Also the 2.25 enter and shift, do i have to order them separately?

When you use Swedish layout on an ANSI keyboard, where have you mapped [<>|] to?
I was thinking maybe on the third layer of [,], [.] and ['] respectively. This to stay close to US ANSI.

Holy ****!

TKLANSISE? No way!

I think my current order-ID system comes to an end.

Time to think about something new.

For now, you've got 2 options:
TKL + SE
or
TKLSE

I will make these 2.25 Shift/Return and 2.75 units Shift keys available separately.

A 1.5 units key is alreasdy part of the SE kit, so no problem here.

I would like to order double shot replacements for my Leopold Tenkeyless. I was thinking about buying these 2 sets with some additional modifiers and this is what I came up with after visiting wiki:

1) SPH in TKL

SPH/TKL
SPH/SPACE

2) Oranje TKL with a matching orange on dark gray modifiers + additional RGBY modifiers

ORANJE/TKL
ORANJE/OAS/GX
ORANJE/RGBY
ORANJE/SPACE/BLACK

Could someone please take a look and let me know if this is correct and that it will match my keyboard? Would these sets be a available? Should this be submitted as one or two orders?

Usually when i have windows standard QWERTY i switch too US layout with ALT+SHIFT.
I have made a Swedish Colemak version for ansi that i use right now, i have mapped <>| to [ALT GR]+[. <] [, >] and [- |].

It means also that it does not make sense to throw out any kits except if nobody wants them anymore.

Ok, key reduction then? So my first idea: Remove keys from the symbol kit.
-arrows? Are they needed? Do they really look that much better?
-Caps? There are some who want SHOUT, some who want an arrow, and some who want the lock thingy.

Like! Just what about ordering e.g. DE and NEO? Frustrating to order an US layout just for one row 4 z for compatibility between both. (y<->z swap -.-') Well you can't have everything, I guess.

Caps / Control / stepped / unstepped are surely a good start to lower costs.

I've just to think out an easy way to do it without putting extra stress to the "I DONT WANT TO THINK"-fraction.

May by I should apply set-theory and introduce AND, OR, XOR etc. operators.

Something like

Lol!

The best idea would be suggesting commonly used lines, I guess. Even easier now that you don't have to make them think about layout kits which confuse quite many. And patiently answering questions.

About the neo problem: I can't order a single row 4 z, can I? :-P

Something like
(STANDARD|DE|NEO)\(JRET|SHIFT125)
this is OK, but the ordering should really work as the following:

name each individual key by style/size/fgcolor/bgcolor/text_or_symbol

ie,

RETRO/1/WHITE/BLACK/SHIFT
RETRO/1/WHITE/BLACK/UPARROW
...

then each of the current kit names becomes a macro for the entire set of keys that the kit contains. ie, KIT/RETRO/TKL expands to:

RETRO/1/WHITE/BLACK/Q
RETRO/1/WHITE/BLACK/W
RETRO/1/WHITE/BLACK/E
RETRO/1/WHITE/BLACK/R
...

instead of coming up with a new kit name for everyone's crazy layout desires, people can order by key, so they will get exactly the keys they want and no more, or they can use your kit naming scheme to make things a bit simpler. this will also make set operators exceptionally easy to implement.

also quite simple to make a small graphical tool based on this scheme...

I think I'm just dropping the single keys (Novelty keys) and keeping the full sets, it won't drop the price too much but any dollar saved will help soften the blow.

I just really want the retro and sph sets :)

For 70 bucks a TKL set SP could at least make some proper sized molds for spherical style shift and enter keys :|
But I guess by their logic that would make the price go up by another 40%...

So many more developments :O

I thought I had this sorted out but I'm confused again. I want RETRO style, with UK layout, 2 TUX modifier keys to replace the windows ones, RGBY replacements and symbol replacements. Below is the order I still have.

Normal Keys
---------------
RETRO/TKL
RETRO/UK
RETRO/SPACE
RETRO/TUXMOD125

RGB Keys (Wish there was RETRO/CARROWS/YELLOW available separately)
---------------
RETRO/RGBY125WIN
RETRO/RGBYSH275

Symbol Replacements
---------------
RETRO/ARROWJRET
RETRO/ARROWUP125
RETRO/ARROWUP275
RETRO/BACKSPACE200
RETRO/HANDBAGCAP
RETRO/TABARROW150
RETRO/SYMBOLSEX

Additional Extras
---------------------
CHERRYREDESC
LOD
RETRO/AWESOMEFUN
RETRO/PIRATEFUN

Now what is this RETRO/TKLRGBY and TKLUK? Should I just stick with what I have as I think it will get me what I want minus the yellow cursor keys?

uhh, you'll need to add what row the key should be.
and not sure if all keysizes are available for all rows?

Something like this:
DCS/R4U150/WA/GX/CC/CONTROL
DCS/R4U125/RCQ/GQM/CL/Control
SA/R3U100/NN/BFP/CC/CTRL
DCS/R3U175F/RA/NN/CL/Control

Holy ****!

TKLANSISE?

Yeah you know I just got to push the limits to see when it breaks.

Mostly just brainstorming about the additional <, > and | keys. It's nothing that I really need.

That 1.5 unit ['*] key though, that you so kindly added to the SE kit. That one is essential.
I think the real question is if that key is included in TKLSE or only in SE?
If it's included in TKLSE, getting that and the 2.25 Shift/Return would be a really cost efficient way to get a Swedish layout compatible with both ISO and ANSI.

2 different space bars are enough for this group buy.

Also, not everybody needs such weird keys like 2.25 or 2.75 units Shift and Return keys.

I add:
MRET (m-shape Return, this is the 2.25 units Return key.)
SHIFT225
QUOTEAST150 ('*)
^^^ No not "quot east", but "quote ast"

OK, kits are added, you can order them.

I've got to decide how to handle the no-nubbed keys option.

One way would be to add them to any order and announce that they are not included in the Standard kits anymore.

I think this would be the simlest way. I really don't want to set up any other order-system in the middle of this group buy.

RETRO/TKLRGBY is RETRO style TKL with RGBY modifiers, so you don't need to buy them extra and put the other modifiers into a drawer for ever.
TKLUK is the same except that this time you have UK layout instead of colorful modifiers.

If you want both, just order:
RETRO/TKLRGBYUK

It is the TenKeyLessRedGreenBlueYellowUnitedKingdom kit.

RETRO/TKLRGBYUK
RETRO/SPACE
RETRO/TUXMOD125

Following the recent annoucements, does that mean that set like STYLE/ALPHA/COLORFR or STYLE/ALNUM/COLORFR could become available ?
That would be quite helpful to me.

That's exactly what I want. Sorry for not being more clear.
This way I can use my keys with alot of the interesting keyboards. There aren't that many with ISO layout, mostly ANSI.

OK, kits are added, you can order them.

Sweet I will update my orders later.
Thank you.

yes, but you would have to order:

style/ALPHAFR/color
style/ALNUMFR/color

Example:
SPH/ALNUMFR
SPH/ALNUMFR/BLUE
RETRO/ALPHAFR
