Two Leopold Otaku Brown switch keyboards
« on: Tue, 02 August 2011, 00:32:56 »
I am selling a couple keyboards in order to buy new ones (the wife isn't having it...)

I have a Sony digital camera that needs a new cable (I lost it) I spent 2 hours tonight between microcenter/fry's tonight trying to find a cable and they don't have one - I have to order it special - apparently digital cameras don't seem to have standard cables.  Anyway, I should have pictures up by the weekend in case you need visual confirmation.

Okay, so the keyboards come with everything that you would get from EK: brown box, plastic cover, ps2<>usb adapter, warranty sheet, keyboard, and detachable usb cable - everything.

I've been using the keyboards for around four weeks now.  I vacume, use can of air, and clean the keyboards like clockwork every monday morning.  I still don't have a key cap puller yet so I spend extra time on the cleaning.  I don't believe in butter knifes/etc .. use a proper tool for the job or don't do it at all.  Or you could say I am clumsy and would f*** it up.

I'm asking $100 for each, includes shipping CONUS.  I could probably drop them down to $95 each if you buy both and let me ship to a single address.  Shipping includes insurance and shipping/tracking confirmation.

Again, I should have pics up by this weekend - just waiting on a cable.  But I thought I would make a place for this.  If you go to Elite Keyboards and click on their Leopold Brown Otaku you know what you are in store for.  It's a very decent keyboard but isn't noisy enough for me.  These would be perfectly fine in a office situation but I'm pretty much alone; after spending some time I think Alps is my preferred switch even if their is limited selection of quality keyboards that have this.

If any needs someone to vouch for me I just purchased a keyboard from N8N so at the very least he can tell you that "I exist."

Thanks for taking a look here.

I would most likely buy these if they were the printed key caps version :( (would be a gift for a friend).

Question though, why do you have two of the same model?

As a quick recommendation, get a flash card reader rather than a replacement cable for the sony.  The flash reader can be used for many different things, the cable not so much.  Besides the sony cable will probably end up costing more than a usb flash reader.
