It looks like this seller has 4 of them, all in separate listings:

Yeah, that seller keeps trying to sell them and nobody's buying. I don't get it.

They were always at really good prices.

Actually, I've purchased 2 from her. They were in great condition, and the packing job was top notch.

Both that I purchased were older models, with the metal stabilizers on the number pad vertical keys.

Seriously though, the keyboards are definitely worth picking up. I'm currently without a place to ship them, and I prefer older models, which is why I didn't snap those up as well. She will combine shipping, too.

I think it's an excellent board. I wouldn't have minded it if it was my first one.

I saw that "nice old antique" listing was going to post it but got distracted, looks like a good deal.

Thanks for the heads up eyesnine (and the vouch theferenc)... I picked up the last one.

I just sold an old Saitek Eclipse II on eBay yesterday for more than this.  I'm feeling pretty dang good about the trade! ;)  I only do tenkeyless, but I'm sure as hell not interested enough to spend what they want for SSKs.  Looking forward to it though... haven't used one of these since grade school!

This is true. :)  But when I bought that, I thought I would type on it.  If I bought a SSK, it would be to collect.  Too much to spend to collect. :)

There's been a few threads with regard to this seller.  She frequently just takes one pic and sells multiple keyboards with the one pic, often not matching the pic.  So it's a bit of a gamble when buying from her, especially if you're looking for a specific board, but might end up getting something similar but not exactly what you wanted.  I think at least one person commented about how dirty the board was they got from her.

I bought one of the "very clean" with "membrane".  Should be receiving it next week.  Anyhow I am going to use its gut to put into my Industrial Model M case.

Just to follow up... got mine today.  Pretty dirty.  The left shift key gets stuck down.  It'll make for a fun project.  Couldn't actually get it to work on my USB-PS2 adapter.  (But it also wouldn't make my unicomp work... so a new one should be here tomorrow to test it out as I have no computers with PS2 ports.)

It came in a clothes rack box that was kind of cut down to size.  Very strange... but otherwise seemed okay.  Slow parcel post shipping too.  Probably wouldn't buy from this person again, though no major problems.  And the price is good enough I suppose.

... did you really expect that they would randomly pay for some kind of shipping more expensive than that?

Admittedly, I had combined 2 keyboards, but mine were almost overly well packed. Each keyboard was wrapped in large bubble wrap, with the cords in separate bubble envelopes, then everything was wrapped again, and then stuck in a heavy duty box. It also only took 3 days, but was shipped on a saturday, so that isn't that bad, really.

Anyway, I had a really solid buying experience from her, so I assumed that was normal. Sorry if my earlier comment gave an incorrect impression.

Oh no, you had good advice.  Perhaps my comments sounded a bit harsh... the shipping method was fine (it said economy).  My packaging had a layer of bubble wrap, but the cut-to-fit box was outside of that.  Doesn't matter on a cheap board like this... no worries.  The reason I wouldn't by from her again is mainly the lack of details (and pictures) of each board and such.  But again, it was super cheap... so I shouldn't complain.  :)  Glad I bought it regardless. (Assuming it works!)

I just got mine in. It was also one listed as clean and in a membrane. The membrane was pretty nasty looking, but the keyboard underneath was pretty clean. The only problem was that the membrane was glued on... Luckily 5 minutes with a rag and some alcohol fixed that problem.

One annoying thing though, I opened it up to get a look inside, since I planned on making one of Mnemonix' usb boards, and it had 16 pin and 12 pin ffc connectors instead of the 16, 8, and 4 pin like on my other model m. Hopefully the extra pins are just the led connectors and the matrix itself isn't any different.

Just curious, I wonder why mine had two stickers on it?  I'd assume they changed to the new labels (and part numbers) after this was produced, but it was still in inventory?

Different dates, though, which is weird.
