Sorry for the confusion. This keyboard is not free. I do actually want some money for it. I'm generous guy...but not that generous.

That space bar is ostentatious. He's compensating for something.

1st rule of mechanical keyboard pursuits.... never buy a Keytronic. No matter how vintage or mechanical they look, it's a rubber dome.  I've been burned more times than I care to admit.

1st rule of rubber dome keyboard pursuts.... always buy a Keytronic. Most of them are awesome as far as rubber domes go, though there are reports that quality has declined on the newer ones.

It can't be bad, if my dad is still using one...
So I should add something useless here yes? Ok, ok...

lol early 90's trackpad. I can already guess how useless that thing is.

I think that this one is more likely to have foam-and-foil switches.

These switches have either a rubber sleeve or a coiled spring directly under the key cap. The initial feel is like a rubber dome or a linear mechanical switch, but below the actuation point, you compress the foam and that feels very mushy.

I had one in the classic "full-size" layout, but nobody wanted it. I could not give it away for free.
I took it apart and placed the plate on plints so that the foam wouldn't be compressed when I typed on it. That actually felt quite nice (but of course that setup does not work electrically.)
