Kinesis Contour/Advantage
« on: Fri, 12 August 2011, 18:27:57 »
Hello everyone,

I'm looking to get a Kinesis Contour/Advantage. Have been looking around at a bunch of keyboards online for the past few months and this one looks like it should work for me. It will be my first foray into mechanical boards, so I'm looking for a lower/older model (ie. cheaper). Not too picky about wear so long as it works. USB would be nice, but if I need to pick up a cheap PS/2 to USB, that isn't the end of the world. Dvorak/QWERTY caps would be a nice bonus, but also not required.

Any and all offers welcome.

Thanks,

uberben

I'm hoping to spend $100 or less if it is a vintage board, but I am willing to spend more on a more recent one. I basically want to try it out a bit before I drop the big bucks on a brand new one. In order to keep the cost down, I don't care too much about the cosmetic condition as long as the board functions.

Thanks for pointing me to Input Nirvana. I have been following his split Kinesis project, but didn't think to ask him about boards. I will do so right away.

Perhaps I should also point out that shipping would be to central Canada. I'm not sure how much that would end up costing, but if anyone has guesses that would be helpful.

Sadly, shipping from anywhere in the US to central Canada is usually cheaper than shipping from central Canada to central Canada.

One day I'll want to sell one or two or three of mine.
