Everything on ebay rips you off for shipping. That's why I don't buy stuff there.

It costs $20 to ship a computer tower. So why should it cost $25 just to ship a KEYBOARD?

Considering the M has no NKRO, I found that ironic as well 500_pts...

There's nothing wrong with using an IBM Model M to play computer games.

NKRO is almost a neccesity for me while I'm gaming. So M is out the window for gaming.

As usual, windows is correct.

The model M is perfect for games.

How?

I would say NKRO is overkill but 6kro really is needed sometimes.

I could never avoid that damn yeti... it goes too fast. Maybe it's my pentium 1 or something.

And in all honesty, I do use my model M for gaming (not sure if starcraft or warcraft are considered as heavy games though). The only time I run into NKRO issues is with playing chords on it for music stuff.

Yes! Pump it up for instace. I used to played it A LOT back in the day (either "real" arcade machine and computer emulators). I still have 5GB of it in my PC.

BTW, me and my cousin built one from scratch with wood and we used a keyboard controller and we carefully picked the keys that won't interfere with each other (of course we ripped it form a crappy rubber dome with no NKRO).

Speaking about NKRO, my Filco which supposedly is NRKO over PS/2 won't allow me to press Alt Gr + Space Bar (I'm using USB though). Because of the layout, I use "Alt Gr + W" for question mark, and whenever there is a space after a question mark, I can't just press the space bar; I have to unpress Alt Gr before which slows me down a bit.

And Yeti = "game over". At least for me in that time. lol
