Thinking of getting a small form factor and quieter mech keyboard; either the noppoo choc mini or kbc poker for college dorm uses.

Which one has better build quality? Is KBC poker and KBC Poker X the same thing?

Are there any other keyboards like them besides the HHKB which is out of my price range?

I love my KBC Poker with reds although I had to jump through so many hoops to get it outside of a group buy in Australia. You will probably find Noppoo easier to find and the cursor keys are nice but I love my Poker more

There are several Pokers available for sale in the Classifieds section.

I have a brown and black for sale and I believe there are red and blue ones available as well.

I have had both Poker and Choc Mini.  I like the Poker better, but the Choc Mini is plate-mounted so it feels more solid.  I didn't like the layout as much though and wanted sth light so now I have 2 pokers.
I'm back.

I think that one has cherry ML switches, which aren't as good as the MX that the Poker and Noppoo choc mini have.
Kinesis Contoured Advantage & Advantage2 LF with Cherry MX Red switches / Extra keys mod / O-ring dampening mod / Dvorak layout. ErgoDox with buzzer and LED mod.
Also: Kinesis Advantage Classic, Kinesis Advantage2, Data911 TG3, Fingerworks Touchstream LP, IBM SSK (Buckling spring), Goldtouch GTU-0077 keyboard

If you do decide on either the choc mini or the kbc poker this guy seems to be selling them at a decent price http://myworld.ebay.com/aminglau/?_trksid=p4340.l2559

I have a cherry G84-4100, it's a nice keyboard, but the touch isn't as good as Cherry MX, the key travel is short and the layout is a bit strange. But if you can get past that, for the price it's a nice acquisition (its really cheap). The touch is still nice though, it feels a bit like what a high-end scissor switch should feel, and is slightly tactile.

I've tried a cherry ML board which looks quite similar to that G84 (attached to a photocopier/printer). Can't say i liked it very much.
