Northgate Omnikey 101
« on: Sat, 27 August 2011, 07:20:53 »
EDIT: Dropped price from $150 to $100

It absolutely, beyond words pains me to sell this keyboard, but I got bills to pay and need them done soon.

I'm selling my Northgate Omnikey 101, it is in fantastic shape with only the slightest bit of yellowing, but otherwise looks and feel amazing.  This keyboard, to me and many others, is without a doubt the best KB ever made.  NKRO, Original White ALPS (tactile, clicky), Absolute solid build and keyboard customization using the dip switches (switches to dorvak, etc).  More metal then plastic, this keyboard is a tank, and the saying really goes "they don't make em like this anymore."  I'll really miss typing on it.  Includes AT-PS/2 adapter.

Selling for $100 (includes shipping) to CONUS.  *May* be interested in dropping the price if you include a decent buckling spring or cherry blue KB but like I said I need bill money first and foremost.  Will have pics on request/interest.

I'm on [H]ard|OCP as CHAoS_NiNJA and have done sales on there for reference, and my Heatwave (if you use it/care) is under the same name.

That's sad man.  I have one and would hate to give it up.  I did almost give it up when I was hurting but hung on.

I can't offer money but would consider trading a nearly-new Model M...

You could always try something like this:

Omnikeys aren't grabbing a whole lot currently. I've seen ones go unsold for $70 on ebay, so I think you'll have better use for it yourself.

Ugh, cameras dead.  Cam't get pics quite yet, will try to borrow a friends tomorrow.  Board is in good shape though, only slight yellowing, no scars or anything, all keys in perfect shape.

Is it actually the layout in the pixel art? Or is it the more common one with the awful big ass enter key?
HHKB Pro 2 -- Custom UNIX layout Unicomp Customizer 101 -- IBM Model M 1391401 (modded to UNIX layout) -- IBM 1397000 (also UNIX layout) -- SSK in UNIX layout -- Model F 122 key in UNIX layout (Soarer USB "native")

Small enter key.  :)  I didn't even know they came in large enter keys until you said so and I googled for a picture, haha.

This picture isn't mine, but it looks exactly the same, with only a slight bit more yellowing over the entire board.  :)  Will get a pic asap.
