Your random unused Cherry doubleshots

Looking to buy a handful of Cherry doubleshots, both white-on-black and black-on-white.  I don't really care which keys they are, or from what layout.  They can even be damaged or unusable on a keyboard.

I've got most of a set of really shiny doubleshots, but missing the "moogle kit" (entire bottom row incl. space bar) and some of the numpad keys.  PM me if you want 'em
Filco Majestouch-2 with Cherry Corp. doubleshot keys - Leopold Tenkeyless Tactile Force with Wyse doubleshots - Silicon Graphics 9500900 - WASD V1 - IBM Model M 52G9658 - Noppoo Choc Pro with Cherry lasered PBT keycaps - Wyse 900866-01 - Cherry G80-8200LPBUS/07 - Dell AT101W - several Cherry G81s (future doubleshot donors) (order of current preference) (dang I have too many keyboards, I really only need two)

I'm trying to put together a comprehensive RIT dye wiki article that distills the wisdom found in existing threads.  I currently have some Unicomp keys, ABS blanks from WASD, some cheapie keys from a Logitech, and some lasered Cherry PBT keys.

I assume these are white lettering on black keys?

it seems that white on black is more available then black on white.

Yup.  I'm hoping a kind-hearted European has some old or damaged whites available for a good cause. :)

Well, I'm excited to experiment with wcass' low-temperature method.  I see from that thread that the 1 cup of MEK he recommended destroyed your keys -- how much water did you use?

I remember reading, possibly in iMav's original thread, that yo-yo hobbyists use non-boiling water + acetone.  That gives me hope for ABS keys.  Fortunately there is now a cheap source of ABS for lots of experimentation (WASD).

Well, he said that you need enough water to fill whatever you're using to hold the keys plus an inch or two over that. That's how much I used. It should generally be the same amount of water even though I just used a glass bowl instead. If I ever try it again, I think I'll be attempting a much less concentrated batch along with using acetone instead. Because keys leaving with not enough color is recoverable.

There is a guy here who successfully did White lettering on Black Keys ABS Cherry Corp doubleshots.  It looked great.  But he was secretive about his method because he was selling the keyboards.

You mean this guy?  He seemed pretty straightforward about his process a few posts later.  The (what I assume were) white doubleshots in the first link are the best looking results I've seen.  Too bad they are so rare. :-/

Yup.  My goal is to provide a large list of links to existing ideas, methods, and images, along with copiously documented results of my experiments across a bunch of methods and key types.

Several Europeans in the original RIT wiki thread tried Simplicol, but none of them found it to work very well.  A few also ordered RIT from Amazon or ebay.
