I see no reason why it wouldn't be good for gaming.  Depending on the environment, a lot of gamers like backlit boards, presumably so they can see keys easier in low light situations.  But I'd take the smaller footprint of the choc mini or poker over bigger backlit keyboards, and either the light from your monitor, or a very small clip on or desk light should be enough.

Just choose whatever switch you like.

I use mine for gaming all the time and I love it. I like how the f-keys are close together and the whole layout is extremely compact, allowing me to feel even more free with my mouse than tkl keyboard.

Some people might not like the layout of the keyboard, but I like it.

Yeah it is very good if you can get used to the F1-f6 keys (if the  games you play even use them). I noticed when I removed my F7 key that it gave reference for me to accurately learn my F-keys that I needed. Kind of like how most keyboards will split it up F1-F4, F5-F8, etc. All that matters is asking yourself if any game you play needs the numpad or the cluster above the arrow keys.

I like the layout but I really don't mind any keyboard layout I have ever tried.
If you live in AZ you can try my keyboards. I usually keep plenty of different ALPS and MX and buckling springs.

don't forget the full NKRO under USB. I like this board (beside the keycaps) in every aspect.

KL reported a problem that his thick DS keycaps were sticking, because of the stabilizer wire. Have you experienced this issue?

Apparently Noppoo fixed this issue in a strange way with the first batch.
