I had one with the XM switches and didn't like the switches at all.

The tactile point is much too crisp, like a little cornflake crunch in every keystroke.

Maybe if you pulled the tactile leaves from the switches, they'd turn into nice sedate linear switches?

RSI prevention recipe:[/B] Kinesis Contoured, Colemak layout, touch typing, Contour Design Rollermouse,  Logitech TrackMan Wheel, Logitech m570 trackball, "workrave" break timer software, "awesome" window manager, tenkeyless boards, cherry browns, Wang 724 with "ghetto green" ALPS, standing desk and/or comfy adjustable chairs, stress reduction, computer time reduction.

Fun non-ergonomic things: bolt modded Model M Space Saving Keyboards with new springs, Kensington Expert Mouse v7, Unicomp Endurapro, Northgates

Well sheit.

If the pictured box is correct, and they are all the same run, these would all be chicony blue switches. Which would make this find the mother of all purchases imho.

I bought this one thought I got a good deal:

And montereys are more or less the only thing left that I want to try.

But if you do want this because it's tenkeyless, it isn't exactly hard to switch from xm (if you don't like them) to any random (or frankensteined) complicated alps switch. There is soldering, but if you've done literally any kind ever it's probably one of the easiest applications of that.

Came in the mail today.  And yes, it's monterey blue switches.  Damn!  NIB too.  I had to take the shrink wrap off to verify the switch type tho.

I'm probably gonna resell this, if one of you guys are dying for this keyboard send me a PM I'm gonna take pics and stuff at a later point.
