I got a chance to try out the DUCKY DK1008/DK1087 with Taiwan ALPS switches today. No pictures though.
My take:
Keycaps are lasered similar to the DUCKY PBT keycaps. It is not pure white, a bit brownish and I think.
New packaging, in blue box, instead of the black one like standard 1008/1087 Duckies and it seems the flimsy USB port area was improved a little bit, but it remains to be seen how these hold in the long run with the QC by Ducky.
Non Clicky
Switches are very clacky, a bit noisy compared to say, Cherry Non Clicky switches, but otherwise similar to Clicky ALPS
Clicky
These sound really crispy, and they felt rather light, maybe 45g by guesstimation. They felt really nice. I prefer the Clicky type to the non clicky since Clacking of the keycaps is not my cup of tea.
For the price that they are going for, a pretty decent starter mechanical keyboard.
