US English Keycaps on Chinese Board

If I buy the g80-3494 with reds from PCHome (the keycaps are chinese), can I just replace the keycaps with standard english ones and use it? Or would I have to change language settings in windows 7 or something.

I am not familiar with that specific keyboard, but you can just change the keycaps. The keyboard isn't going to change the language you have set in Windows.

Yeah, totally. The layout should be standard US ANSI, but with extra chinese letters, same as the fabled G80-3000LSCRC-2
Don't hold me to this, though. I don't have the 3494... Just making an educated guess.

People used to get the Chinese-lettered -3000 all the time a few years back when it was cheap.  They work transparently as US English.

Bopomo is not the same system as Pinyin. Pinyin is used in China, and uses Latin alphabet. Bopomofo is the phonetic symbols on the Taiwanese board (Taiwan also have different romanization rules). The keyboard send the same keycode. The Chinese conversion is done in OS, so the boards themselves are just cosmetically different.
