Hi,

New to the Forum.

Thinking of getting a WASD Keyboard and was looking for some Comments on the Layout.

It's not really my cup of tea (I prefer more unified, "quieter" layouts), but hey man, if that's what you want then go for it!

My biggest piece of advice is that your keyboard is something you will look at every day you use a computer, and in some cases in an office, so therefore it is very important that any choices you make outside of the ordinary should be ones you have thought about for quite an extensive amount of time. Buyer's remource can suck, and if its in the case of 40 of your 104 keys, it can suck a lot.

(compliments? or criticisms?) - Either

I work from Home so it would be used for Work and Play.

Mostly shooting for a Gaming theme.

Not that worried about Buyer's remorse as I can always swap keys latter - I think that is one of the big appeals.

Alright, that works then. The one final thing I will say is that you may want to look at pictures of the different labeling styles to see which one you like better. Also, the Red escape key will turn out much more like burnt orange. I have a checker-set from WASD and I got a red escape key and hate the hell out of it.

Thanks for the Info on the Red color.

The Plan would be the Engraved. Like the subtle or understatedness of it.

I would go blank but I'm a lazy touch typist... when I'm lazy I look at the keys.

Just a heads up, you'll want the "SABOTAGE" on the spacebar a little smaller. Since that key has a large curvature, it won't come out right and I'll have to shrink the font size down anyways. I'd say max about 2/3 of that size.

What Font size would you suggest?

This would entirely depend on just how much you use a single keyboard. In my rotation, it wouldn't much matter to me as long as I can take it at least some of the time.

What's the idea behind the green Delete key?

Green for Recycle - Delete to the Recycle Bin.

Hard to see but there is a Recycle Symbol on it.

Just a bit of personal input: use something else for 'insert'. That symbol you have picked looks a lot like 'info' to me, and I never use it. Just my $.02.

I think the numbers on the numpad are pretty cool.  Actually that's an idea i might steal if I end up getting a full-sized from WASD.  The rest of it is a bit too noisy and mismashed for my tastes, but i'm a very minimalistic type of guy when it comes to design.

My thoughts exactly.
But it's your board, if you like it, go for it!
