Clickclack is making more of these.
And because I'm a socialist pig and I don't think it is fair to raise the price of these too excessively according to demand since supply is SO short. I'm instead considering an algorithm such that...
Each person/address can buy 1 keycap at normal price
2 keycaps at 1.5 times the normal price of EACH
3 at 2x each
5 at 3x each
6 at 4x each, etc.
This would cut down on the enterprising individuals who pick these up like pirated AC/DC albums, and leave more chance everyone has an opportunity to buy one.
What do you guys think?
It's not a bad idea, but it will likely not effect how long they last (not by much). It could even encourage people to buy more of these (which is why they probably wouldn't last much longer). But, as the above poster said it will benefit Elite. At this point I think it's best that more profit is actually made by Click Clack/Elite. Depending on the production situation, that could encourage more production down the line.
The only way (IMO) to help the situation is to actually charge more. Brian is attempting to help the consumer which is what we all want, but maybe in this situation it's best to simply charge more per cap. If you do it your way (progressively more) people are going to simply buy from other accounts, and just get by without the restrictions altogether. You will need to charge more PER CAP in order to help everyone in the future.
With that said, I love the price. I appreciate the price. Keep doing business the way you think is best.
