Seriously I don't understand why EK still say they're in stock when you're saying the'yre not. I mean I see all the keycaps being in stock and I can add them to the Shopping Cart.

Oh! And I don't forget about Elite Keyboards HATING European buyers. Are you kidding me? They want me to pay 51$ for shipping keycaps.... seriously what's wrong with them.

$51 is pretty ridiculous for shipping.

I've only bought a Leopold keyboard from EK, and although the wrong keyboard shipped, the mistake was taken care of promptly. They packaged the board very securely too.

Although I must say the one gripe I have about EK is that they told me I couldn't pick up locally to save on shipping, despite living in the same city. Really?

Probably because he does not have a store front. Also, people would start nagging on him to whip the gnomes to make keycaps faster .

Ha! I don't hate anyone...

For 99% of orders, the shipping price calculation is a pretty linear process. My guess is you're probably adding a large number of small items to your cart, which isn't interpreted well due to minimum per-item weights the cart understands; so it bumps you into the 2-4 pound weight tier. We're not going to charge you $51 for shipping keycaps...just email us if something doesn't seem right. Chances are that we'll catch it and refund the difference when the order is processed anyway.

No offense, but we don't have a staffed person waiting around for people to stop by and pick up their order.

I think Newegg right over in Rowland Heights didn't even start offering will-call until this year. Perhaps you'll forgive us for a few more years until we reach their size;)

Brian, you should definitely listen to this when you do have a store front. A specialize boutique store that serves keycaps in gift wrapped boxes candy-style. lol I'd take my g/f there to shop.

Wow those went quickly, I got the email about 6AM, 3 hours later all gone. Well tbh I'm glad, $56 postage just flat out takes the piss, I've had caps sent from the US by geek hackers and the post is less than $15.
I was able to add to the cart but as soon as I get to paypal it says all items sold out. Bummer!

edit: just read the post above from elitekeyboards, well that's all good... if I ever manage to get one of these orders to the check-out I'll be sure to let you know

I understand not having a staffed person around waiting. Still, I don't think it's difficult to arrange a time that's convenient for you for local customers to pick up.

last time i got the keycaps first and the tracking information 4 hours after i had gotten them delivered.

although the tax sucks, i love living in the same state as EK. (about 40 mins away actually). everything is over night shipping!

That's odd..all the Clack Factory keys still say in stock when I look at the EK site. I thought maybe I was looking at a cached page, but I get the same result from both my desktop on Comcast and my mobile on Sprint. Where is everybody seeing the out of stock status? :noidea:

I was happy I was able to get a couple, but hopefully Click Clack is able to produce more in the short future. There has to be some profit being made here, and so there should be a good reason to make more of these you would think. Sorry for anyone who missed out, and who really wanted some. It's really an odd buying situation to be in. To have to worry about buying something within just a couple hours or risk losing it .... maybe the design forever? It's crazy. I guess that's what makes these things extra special.
