That is because I botched your email address in the invoice; I will be resending it immediately to the correct email.

Also, because the spacebars have been cancelled, I have removed that from your order.

(I will be refunding all fulfilled invoices that had spacebars on them).

Wow, that's cheap! If it's not far too obnoxious, could you give me a sec to add a couple small things to the order and then send me another invoice? I probably should've done that the other day, but things have been a bit hectic around here. I've got to head to work in a few, but I feel like I should take advantage of the awesome prices that we ended up getting.

What I have been doing is having people pay the first invoice and then sending a second invoice, devoid of shipping costs, for the additional keys. It makes it so that the first, necessary payment, gets in on time and then the second one can be done at will.

Good idea. Paying up now and PMing with some additions momentarily. Thanks!

So... a little hickup... Paypal has frozen my account and won't let me do anything with it until I prove delivery of everyone's keys...

And...You can't order without the money that's frozen/not collected?

And...You can't deliver if you can't order?

I just called them and they told me it will be under review and I have to wait 24-48 hours. So... for those expecting extra invoices for the next few days... don't.

Paypal doesn't like that they like you to sell things you have on hand and not use the money you receive to get the item(s)

Should we all call paypall (log in, contact us, via phone - they have a toll free number, at least for Australia), and let them know this is a legitimate transaction and we don't appreciate them meddling with our transactions?

Has RColinTaylor breeched their TOS in some way to trigger this or is he just "suspicious"? Is he allowed to even discuss the issue on an open forum or does that just breech some other bull**** aspect of their TOS.

He got his account verified 2 months ago, this many invoices will trigger it, looks like a fast in and out scam to them.

Oh and I forgot to add that they are not going to like the fact that he _needs_ to send that money off before he can ship out items (a month+ at that too), dunno maybe calling PayPal would work, but from my experience with them their customer reps are hit or miss some are just there to brush you off ;<

Emails don't really work with them, if anything calling would be the best way.

I'm pretty sure a regular CSR can do anything either it has to go much higher up. So maybe enough calls would escalate to that point.

Perhaps we should investigate alternative forms of payment for future group buys if this is going to be a concern.

Amazon has a similar system in place, I believe.  Of course they might have the same issues as Paypal...

Or there's always bitcoin.

I'm against bitcoin. = / Its like having another currency. And I'd have to buy up bitcoins when I want to spend it. The range of price for bitcoins hasn't been very stable and not widely used enough imo.

They are a cute idea, but i would have to agree with hazeluff - i don't trust bitcoin just yet in that it has not stabilized as a currency as far as I am aware. Maybe one day soon.

What i was referring to was alternative forms of payment like google checkout for merchants in the USA/UK, merchant inc for USA merchants, paymate for merchants in USA/AUS/NZ, the list goes on.

Google checkout, is a good idea. No idea about their service fees and such and policy regarding selling stuff that you don't have yet. Otherwise that seems like a good idea.

About bitcoin. I remember when I was introduced to it a year ago it was like 10 USD to a bitcoin. And last heard it was about 1 USD. = / Also there are some security issues with it (computer viruses targeting PC's that have bitcoin wallets).

Yeah that has me concerned also. If you are defrauded via a stolen bitcoin wallet, you have a lot less legal support to fall back on than if your CC details were stolen. I mean, you're pretty screwed either way, but the additional level of risk of having no real established legal structure surrounding bitcoin transactions, combined with the speculative nature of its value (It's like the risk of dealing on forex^2, once for the conversion to USD, then again for the conversion to bitcoin) leaves me feeling a bit iffy. I vote +1 to google checkout, needs some more investigation.

Bottom line is I trust my judgement more than paypal - their buyer/seller protections have huge loopholes for scammers, and then there's the risk that they will just outright screw up your transaction like what is happening here. I know of this happening to other people I trust and know personally, who have been trading successfully for years, and suddenly paypal decides they're going to lock up their funds and business for some arbitrary reason.

That's how they locked up my funds for 180 days, they are impossible to deal with if it's not because PayPal is a world known source of payment transfer I would not be using it

I don't know if Google checkout can transfer money like this, I think in order to receive money you need to have a merchant account for them and they go through a background check or something

BitCoin I definitely don't trust it at this point in time, maybe 5 years down the road, like everyone said its way too unstable right now and I've only seen it drop lol

Well what do you guys think about my idea of calling them up via their contact number (you can find contact details for your country while logged in with paypal, along with a code to identify yourself)?

Worthwhile, or just stirring the hornet's nest and asking for trouble? (ie. if purchasing goods with the money rather than having them ready for shipping is against their TOS or some ****, we don't want to find that out the hard way by letting them know)

Cos when you do that, people need to pay money right away (or waits for invoice). But the cart still means money needs to be paid somewhere (e.g paypal). If there isn't enough interested we'd need to refund. This system works.

Is there any more news on the subject? Has anybody tried calling? It's a shame for this to happen on my first order, just my luck eh?
I hope this all gets resolved, there's not a chance that this is all going to mess up right?
