Filco Tenkeyless makes weird sounds on "a" and "enter"
« on: Fri, 04 November 2011, 17:46:20 »
Got my Filco (mx brown) for about 6 months now. It's starting to make some strange noises: When I press "a" then I can hear smth like a spring.. some "doiing" :D
And enter sounds like metal is scratching metal.. It really is some aweful sound... like you scratch the class-board with your finger nails.

Any idea how to fix this?

@Ripster: Thanks there are some great guides. But none describes the "Enter" key of the german layout. It is a bit different formed and I have no idea what the savest way is to remove it. Also, are the stabilizers ?

For the A key: lol the sound is a bit like that but with a higher pitch.

@edit: I have a Filco Otaku version.. I wonder if I can put all the keys into the dishwasher to clean them? :o Also: is it safe to clean out everything under the keys with a "compressor" ?
