I was thinking about buying this Model M because of its Danish layout (I'm norwegian) is it worth $80 with shipping?

This board certainly looks "Used" - beat up, in fact. I think you can get other Model Ms in better condition and for about the same price or perhaps only $10 higher. You might be attracted by the layout (quite interesting) but, provided you can get the keys from Unicomp, I think it's possible to modify the layout of a Model M to suit your needs. Ripster's article "A 88 Key Model M Mini - The DIY International Keyboard" is an example.

So you're saying that Unicomp has the Danish keys?

I don't know if they have Danish. Send them an e-mail to ask and let us know. They have been replying my e-mails within a day or two.

I just thought of something else. If Unicomp doesn't have the Danish keys, you could buy the keyboard but get the seller to send you the keys only. That could save you quite a bit on shipping, then purchase another Model M. You might like to take a look at the one that Fossala's selling. It looks decent and you probably don't even have to open the keyboard. I think it's just a simple change of key caps. Fossala is in the UK - I don't know if shipping is less than from the US.

I sent them an email asking if they have either the Norwegian, Swedish or Danish keys.

That would cost quite a lot more.

I'ts:
- incomplete, misses cable and F8 keytop
- very dirty and beaten up, probably requires bolt mod and possibly spring swap
I'd pass on it and order Unicomp Customizer with Danish layout for just a bit more.

Unicomp returned my email yesterday and they have both SWE/FIN and the Danish layouts but they do not have the norwegian layout nor will they in the near future.

Picked that up from the amazing yellowing too, huh?

One look at that and I was instantly thinking that it was clearly not PBT. I don't think I've ever seen something on a model m yellowed before. If mine had shown up that way I probably wouldn't have melted it accidentally.
